March is often one of my favorite months because it has the first peak of spring, flowers are everywhere, and it helps that it’s also the month of my birthday. This month I’ve been obsessed with a wide variety of things but mostly, skincare (seriously, lots and lots of skincare)! Check out my favorite things this month! x
Victoria’s Secret PJ set- This link is not to the exact product I have pictured here, but it’s a lighter, more weather appropriate version of it (and different prints). I have two different pairs of these PJs from Victoria’s Secret and I honestly wear them every week. They give you an automatic “princess sleep.” Who doesn’t like waking up in the morning feeling like royalty? I definitely recommend everyone having a pair of PJs like these. They are mega comfy so super cute.
Ettika Daydreamer Tassel Earrings in Black and Gold- These came with the spring Fab Fit Fun box and I never want to take them off. They are super expensive outside of the box ($58!!) because they are gold plated. These earrings would have been out of comfort zone a couple months ago but as I try and push myself to be a little more adventurous, things like these earrings become a staple in my wardrobe. Go out and get yourself some wild earrings. It’ll make you a feel quirky and cool even if you are pairing them with a simple outfit.
Bath and Body Works Champagne Toast candle- For some reason, I don’t end up telling you all about candles I like until they are gone… This scent is a regular winter scent at B&BW but I think this scent should be available year-long. It is a really pretty, light berry scent that isn’t overwhelming. B&BW candles are usually pretty powerful and tend to give me a headache after a while in my small room. This candle has been an absolute dreeeaaam. It’s also fitting since my 21st birthday was this month. I am so sad they don’t always sell this. I’ll definitely have to remember to stock up this year.
Stoneware Catchall by Hearth & Hand with Magnolia– I never thought that I needed a catchall on my bedside table until I had a catchall on my bedside table. I have a lot of damage on my bedside table due to an alarm clock that tended to get over-heated and left lots of fun yellow marks on my white nightstand. This guy hides those and makes my bedside products look cute and put together. Seeing “You were made for this” every morning and night has actually become a wonderful reminder that I can accomplish whatever I set my mind to. Not to mention… it’s Magnolia, people. You can’t go wrong with the Gaines family.
USPS “Love” stamps by Anna Bond- Anna Bond (@annariflebond, follow her Insta for the prettiest art pieces) is the head artist and co-creator of Rifle Paper Co., which is my favorite stationary company. I send letters pretty frequently to some of my gal pals and I was ecstatic when I saw her announce the launch of these stamps. They make every piece of mail all the more gorgeous.
Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy “Sleep” foaming soap- I’m not sure why, but the Aromatherapy line is never available online. I know that I have seen this soap in stores on several occasions year-round. Whatever bathroom you use before you go to bed, place this soap in it. You should know by now how much I love lavender. This is honestly the dreamiest lavender scent I have ever smelled and could instantly rock me to sleep. Stop by a B&BW store and pick this gem up.
Mazunte Tequeria– This restaurant is so good that I had to include it in my favorites this month. I’m sorry for those who don’t live in the same area as me, but if you do, this place is a must. They honestly have the best tacos I have ever tasted in Cincinnati. Be careful- lots of people know how good this place is and the line is constantly out the door so give yourself enough time.
Powell & Mahoney Sparkling Mojito (Non-alcoholic)– I stumbled upon these as I was walking the aisles of Target and it’s just another one of the many ways Target continues to bless my life. My brother loves these as much as I do so we often split a can in half and add some Sprite to the mix. They are the perfect amount of minty, (slightly) tropical, and refreshing. I definitely recommend trying these out. The link I provided is an actual bottle but in the store, you can get a 4-pack for $5- that’s a steal!
ColourPop “Take Me Home” eyeshadow palette– I had been hunting for a smaller palette for travel with some glitter in it for ages. This comes with 6 eyeshadows and has enough gold glitter to last a lifetime. I use all six when doing my eyes (from all over to crease to eyeliner). It’s definitely a lot more orange-y than it appears but I love the way it still stays on allll day long just like an Urban Decay shadow. Bonus: This palette is currently on sale for $10! Woo!
ISH Lip Statement palette– Besides eyeshadow palettes, I never really saw the point in buying palettes. When this came in the spring Fab Fit Fun box, every opinion I had on that matter changed. Not only is being able to create and mold your lipstick insanely fun but these colors are CRAZY pigmented and last for HOURS. It’s definitely a pricier product (as all FFF products are- $42). If you are a lipstick junkie or like me, are just recently starting to understand the beautiful world that is lipstick- check this product out!
Tresemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Spray- When I dye my hair, I don’t dye it completely permanent because who wants to deal with regrowth if you don’t have to? The only downside is that for the first three weeks after it’s dyed, my shower and towels are pink from my hair dye. Therefore, I can’t let my hair naturally dry without getting dye everywhere for a couple of weeks. This product has been my best friend this month. It’s protected me from WEEKS of heat and styling damage that could have been building up. The best part? It’s only $5.50 at Ulta.
Bath and Body Works “A Thousand Wishes” scent lotion and hand sanitizer– I know it’s cheesy, but I love using this scent during my birth-month. “A Thousand Wishes” just makes you think about blowing out candles on your birthday and the little ribbon associated with the packaging just makes you think of presents. It’s the perfect blend of sweet and warm scents and the best part- it’s around year-long and is always one of the scents to be involved in major sales!
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Chai and Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Glace– I got these little lippies as a part of my birthday gift with Sephora. Not only do I love the colors of both but the packaging is gorgeous and they are incredibly long-lasting. If you’re looking for something a little extra this month, go get Bite Beauty lip products ASAP.
Garnier SkinActive Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream– First of all, I found an amazing moisturizer for less than $10… so we can rejoice about that alone. This month, the random freezing cold and snow to 60-degree weather to rain all day has sucked all of the moisture out of my skin and I have about the oiliest face ever. I needed a moisturizer that wouldn’t cause me to break out, rescue my dry face, but also be good for my oily skin. A tall order, I know. But this little gel cream did it! It’s fantastic for those of you out there with oily or combo skin. A little goes a long way and it really is insanely refreshing.
Skin & Co. Truffle Therapy Whipped Cleansing Cream– This is the most glamorous, royalty-worthy product I have ever owned. I have been looking for a product to help take removing my makeup to a new extreme without hurting my skin that already has so many products invading it. I currently use Rodan + Fields exfoliator three times a week, but I wanted something I could every day without harming my skin. I tried this once as a sample and I fell in love. It gets all of your makeup off by the time you are done washing your face. I have been dreaming of a product like this for ages and I am so lucky I stumbled upon it.
First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser, Facial Radiance Polish, and Facial Radiance Pads– Ulta was out of a certain product I was supposed to get as a sample so they gave me this instead… this is a $40 sample right here, you guys. I am SOLD on this for everyday usage. I use R+F (as you all know) but it’s great to have a normal face wash as well. My face is currently in detox mode thanks to all of these amazing products and all of the gunk is finally coming out. This product is supposed to also help with scarring. Can somebody say I’m gonna have completely clear skin in 2018…?
Sephora Collection Clay Mask in Blue– Out of every face product I have named so far this month, this one is my favorite. I would go so far to say that THIS is my all-time favorite this month. This is supposed to come with four use for $8, not bad. But I’ve already used this product six times and I could probably get four or five more uses. This is a steal!! As soon as you put it on, your face immediately feels clean and like it can breathe again. It’s doing an amazing job of zapping my pimples and de-clogging all of the nasty in my pores. I will buy this product over and over again and you should too. Let’s also talk about how adorable and easy the packaging is! I’m OBSESSED!
Glee on Netflix and Glee soundtracks- This show was THE show for my sister and me back when I was in middle school/high school (ran from 2009-2015). I gave up watching the show in 2014 because it just felt too different after they all began to graduate and move on their way (I was doing the same so it probably freaked me out more than anything). Recently I decided to re-watch the show and finally finish it. The entire month of March has been nothing but me binge-watching Glee and jamming to every song by them on Spotify. My music request for my birthday? Glee soundtracks. If you are a theater kid at heart and you’ve never watched this show, do yourself a favor and be willing to fall in love with arguably the greatest TV phenomenon pre-Stranger Things.
The Greatest Showman soundtrack- I know I am so late to this but WOW. The movie wasn’t anything I would be dying to see again, but the soundtrack, that’s another story. Much like I can’t stop playing Glee music, I can’t stop listening to these either. Basically, I’ve had a withdraw from my high school theater days and cannot and will not listen to anything but show tunes.
Marvel’s Black Panther- This might arguably one of my favorite Marvel movies to date. Other than Guardians of the Galaxy, this was my favorite world and favorite film. Walking into the film, there were three little girls stood in front of a poster of the two main ladies of the film. They were just in awe of their beauty and their sheer AWESOMENESS. I got choked up seeing these little girls have superheroes that looked like them to celebrate… FINALLY. From the African landscape to the politics to the fact that all the coolest and most awesome people in the film were women… go see this film. It’s just absolutely amazing.
Thanks so much for hanging with me on this loooong favorites post this month! Let me know if you try any of the products listed and don’t forget to tell me what YOU have been loving this month! I’m on the lookout for new, fun things during the month of April. Until then, I’ll see you on Friday! x
